On 1st April 2014, Mike James, Managing Director LRQA and Chair of the global certification trade body IIOC (Independent International Organisation for Certification) will be speaking at the Chartered Quality Institute’s Leadership Conference. Mike will be part of a panel discussion starting at 2.15 pm with the title ‘ISO 9001:2015, What difference will it make’. This is a timely discussion for Mike to be part of given that the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is in the process of revising the world’s major standards including ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environment). LRQA is no stranger to the current revision process being driven by ISO and is a major contributor to the development and improvement of standards and associated guidance in the fields of management systems and conformity assessment worldwide. As recognised voices in the industry - driven through our membership and Mike James’ chairmanship of the IIOC - our experts are actively involved in the international technical committees for all three of the world’s leading Management System Standards, specifically ISO 9001 (quality, ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 (occupational health and safety).
The conference itself is set to be an informative and inspiring day of new ideas, stimulating debate and renowned speakers. Dedicated to driving forward the quality agenda, the conference will provide delegates with a greater understanding of how operational effectiveness and efficiency is vital to achieving organisational success.
Along with Mike James, other major industry figures will present during the conference, sharing their knowledge and insight which will be followed by a choice of insightful breakout sessions, providing in-depth analysis of the most pertinent issues in quality today.
